Mad For Jenny Wright

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Actress: JENNY WRIGHT

Known for: NEAR DARK

Project: I, MADMAN

Year: 1989

Genre: Horror

Character: Virginia

Traits: She’s an actress working in a bookstore, and an avid reader of horror novels… One in particular (with the same title as the movie) brings a psychopath to life who winds up killing her friends.

Nag Ratings: 1… Unless you’re the villain.

The Best Part: Whenever Jenny’s reading in her nightgown.

You Missed: The vulnerable dough-eyed starlet’s turn as a vampire in NEAR DARK is what she’s known for, but Jenny has been linked to several Brat Pack movies without being thrown in with that particular lot: those include ST. ELMO’S FIRE as Rob Lowe’s put-upon wife and as Anthony Michael Hall’s damsel in OUT OF BOUNDS, making Jenny, along with Robert Downey Jr. and Jami Gertz, an important cog of the Brat Pack wheel.
