Beth Ehlers Vamps Out

vamp1

Actress: BETH EHLERS

Known for: THE HUNGER

Project: THE HUNGER

Year: 1983

Genre: Horror Noir Thriller

Character: Alice Cavender

Traits: A young teen being taught to play violin by two vampires (who don’t appear as such), Alice is street savvy and cool and, eventually, lunch.

Nag Ratings: 2… She’s kind of a punk but is faithful to her friends, even though one of them (David Bowie) doesn’t return the favor.

The Best Part: Alice’s death scene is quite intense, jarring.

You Missed: It’s referred to by Bowie’s character that Alice might be Catherine Deneuve’s secret choice for a future mate when his time runs out… And in real life, after appearing in this Tony Scott thriller, Beth Ehlers remained in show business with reoccuring roles on GUIDING LIGHT and ALL MY CHILDREN.
