Pauline Taylor Shrinks Clockwork Orange

Picture 1

Actress: PAULINE TAYLOR

Known for: A CLOCKWORK ORANGE

Project: A CLOCKWORK ORANGE

Year: 1971

Genre: Controversial Motion Picture

Character: Dr. Taylor, Psychiatrist

Traits: A quirky-cute entry here has British character-actress Pauline Taylor as a shrink sent in by the government to make sure Malcolm McDowell’s Alex DeLion is back to his loony brainwaves… The scene has the doc showing Alex slides, with hilarious results… And if you watch all of Pauline’s expressions in the photo gallery below, they range from a forced happy smile to a friendly grin to a cautiously unsure look… She’s dealing with a killer, after all… And obviously knows the score…

Nag Rating: 3… She’s very nice but you can tell there’s something lurking deep down… Plus she’s a government worker.

Best Part: When Dr. Taylor is first seen walking down the corridor… providing a “real horror show” Stanley Kubrick camera angle.

You Missed: You can learn everything in the interview linked below, including the fact that originally there was supposed to be two shrinks instead of one. Also, her character shares her real last name.
