A Perfect Ann Ryerson

a0

Actress: ANN RYERSON

Known for: MINORITY REPORT

Project: A PERFECT COUPLE

Year: 1979

Genre: Romantic Comedy

Character: Skye 147 Veterinarian

Traits: In a Robert Altman indie film about a rich Greek guy and a quirky singer, Paul Dooley’s character meets an even quirkier single girl named Skye, played by Ann Ryerson, in a dating service that, before computers and the Internet, had customers speaking into a video camera and later viewed on a TV set… Paul sees Skye, an adorable hippie veterinarian, and takes her on a date… He winds up dodging an eventual score with the very open-minded cutie, and this proves how smitten he is with Marta Heflin (the lead ingenue) because it would take wild horses for any sane male to reject the lovely Ann Ryerson…

Nag Rating: 0… Skye is the perfect hippie girl, no flaws except being a bit too breezy… But that’s still just fine…

Best Part: Whenever Ann is in the movie, a ten-minute segment a bit past the half-way point… She’s puts some fire into an otherwise mellow motion picture…

You Missed: A Second City comedy troupe alumni, Ann, who stands over six feet tall, played many roles through the years, including a caddy in CADDYSHACK… Ann’s part, along with most of the other caddies, was cut down when the four leads, including Rodney Dangerfield and Chevy Chase and Bill Murray and Ted Knight, were made more important to the storyline… Ann also appeared as a doctor in Robert Altman’s maligned political ensemble, HEALTH…
