Girl Playing Tennis in The Exorcist

3

Girl playing tennis behind Lee J. Cobb & Jason Miller in THE EXORCIST

Actress: Unknown Known For: THE EXORCIST Project: THE EXORCIST Year: 1973 Genre: Horror Character: Tennis Playing Girl Traits: In the demon possession masterpiece THE EXORCIST, some of the most involving scenes don’t involve Linda Blair’s head spinning and spewing green vomit inside a spooky bedroom… In one scene, bringing a touch of sunlit Noir into the dark Horror murkiness, Detective Kinderman, played by Lee J. Cobb, while roaming the outskirts of a running track, is sort of politely questioning the true star of the movie, Jason Miller’s doubting priest, Father Karras: during which they pass two lovely girls playing tennis, and one, closest to the characters, stands out in particular. The Best Part: This kind of scene involving dialogue, including Kinderman having a conversation with mother Ellen Burstyn’s Chris MacNeil, and another where mother Chris walks around talking to Karras about a possible exorcism. You Missed: During the 1970’s, movies seemed very realistically captured, and this tennis player babe deserved some recognition.
