Jill Banner Doubles on Dragnet

1

Jill Banner for the last time with Jack Webb on DRAGNET 1970

Actress: JILL BANNER Known For: SPIDER-BABY Project: DRAGNET 1970 Year: 1969 Genre: DETECTIVE NOIR Episode: DHQ: MISSING PERSON Character: Shirley Lawson Traits: A teenage girl is missing from her high school, and Jack Webb’s Friday and Harry Morgan’s Gannon, two cops from the 50’s Era thrust in the Drug-Culture, question a small handful of people including a lovely tall college student who might not be who she says. Nag Rating: 3… Only because she’s sneaky, wacky: a young girl pretending to be a younger one to keep her troubles at bay. Best Part: Seeing Jill earthy and natural at the end of the episode You Missed: Banner wound up dating Marlon Brando before her death in the early 80’s, and also, this is one of five appearances from the latter DRAGNET franchise, and the second one showcased on Cinema Starlets, the first being from DRAGNET 1967.
