KAREN GREEN in THE CROWDED SKY

Actress: KAREN GREEN Known For: ZEBRA IN THE KITCHEN Project: THE CROWDED SKY Year: 1960 Genre: Disaster/Suspense Character: Ann Heath Traits: Pre-Teen daughter of jet fighter pilot and Korean War veteran Efrem Zimbalist Jr., Karen’s Ann adores her father (he gives her his ID bracelet, like a beau) and can’t stand her selfish mom, who chooses a car over her, and yet, Ann doesn’t mind: soon she’ll be living with dad, in Washington DC; that is, if his small jet doesn’t crash into Dana Andrews’s commercial flyer on the way, like he’d done three years previously. Nag Rating: 2… But only in exposition towards mommy, for she’s daddy’s little girl. Best Part: The entire film has bizarre scenes where the camera zooms close on each main character’s face, and we can hear their thoughts along with a backstory: Ann’s the first to take us there! You Missed: Ann, who slightly resembles THE BRADY BUNCH era Melissa Sue Anderson, has a semi-long and strategically important scene, as stated, but for some odd reason, she’s uncredited in this film: And the next Karen Green post is for ZEBRA IN THE KITCHEN starring Jay North.
