Julie Patzwald looking for a place to rent on THE L WORD
Actress: Julie Patzwald Known For: Stargate SG-1 Project: The L Word Year: 2005 Genre: Romance Drama Comedy Episode: The Lynch Pin Character: Sally Traits: The show’s pretentious writer, Jenny, and stock player, Shane, need a roommate, and about twenty minutes following a the usual montage of total losers being interviewed, up comes The Girl Next Door who seems perfect… Her name is Sally, played by the very cute Julie Patzwald, and upon seeing the short-haired Shane (though hottie Shane is not butch) and realizing they’re gay, she starts belting her proverbial Bible in the usual cliché fashion. Nag Rating: 6… Being a Christian, she’s as bad as they come on THE L WORD, although she remains sweet, polite, and not very condescending. Best Part: When we get a closeup of her natural beauty: She wears little makeup and the plain-brownish, icky backdrop (or perhaps a 1950’s vibe given her old fashion persona), which intentionally frames Julie so she’s not as pretty as she really is. You Missed: Alas, Julie committed suicide in 2012: missed are all the shows and movies she’d have given us.
