Leslie Neale can’t sponsor Clean and Sober

Leslie Neale not trusting Michael Keaton in a smokey room in CLEAN & SOBER

Actress: Leslie Neale Project: CLEAN AND SOBER Year: 1988 Genre: Addiction Drama Character: Sheila Traits: At the first Alcoholics Anonymous/A.A. Meeting Micheal Keaton’s character goes to after putting himself in a rehab (run by a non famous Morgan Freeman) to hide out from the vengeful father of a one night stand who overdosed on coke, a gorgeous, classy woman starts the meeting in such a smokey room, the pictures resemble a smoggy sky.. NAG RATING: 2… But only because she rejected Michael Keaton, and that rating is his opinion, not ours since he had wanted her to be his Sponsor, which should be a man for a man for sobriety, not sex. BEST PART: Leslie played the mother of a kid who worships his tough uncle who died in the Iraq war in the Larry Cohen/William Lustig exploitation UNCLE SAM, and she played along with a younger version of herself, Anne Tremko: two for the price of one.. YOU MISSED: Perhaps… though this is only an opinion… playing an expert in helping drunks and addicts wasn’t such a tough reach: She was once married to (and had a child with) the legendary Doors drummer John Densmore, Although they were married post-Jim Morrison and pre-Val Kilmer/Oliver Stone DOORS movie that her husband’s book was based upon.
